Jerry Scripture
In the past, Jerry has served in the U.S. Navy as an officer and worked as an IBM system engineer. In 1973, he established his first residential construction company. He has been active in the Home Builder Association for many years. Jerry has also helped establish the Shenandoah Valley Builders Association, and served as Chairman of the Home Builders of Virginia Legislative Committee and President of the State Association.Laura Scripture
Laura graduated from Middlebury College in 2004 with a major in Economics and a minor in Film and Media. Upon completing college, she moved west and took the next two years to ski race on an international level. During this time Laura was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to travel with the U.S. Ski Team.Starting in May 2006 she became the project manager for The Glen at Cross Keys. Since her start, she has had the opportunity to learn much about development. Through her work, Laura has also found that helping people to build homes is a rewarding experience. She looks forward to building many future communities.
J.M. Neale
J.M. Neale is native of the Shenandoah Valley, currently living near New Market. Neale has had experience in the past as President of both the Mount Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce and the Shenandoah County Home Builder’s Association. He also worked for several years as an insurance agent in Mount Jackson after graduating at the top of his class at insurance school in Richmond.Neale has been licensed in real estate for over twenty years and worked for Scripture Building Corp. from the late seventies through the early nineties selling and building resort homes. He left real estate for a few years to work in telecommunications sales, but returned to Scripture Communities in August 2004.
Amar Gogia
Amar first moved to Harrisonburg in 1999, where he attended James Madison University to major in Political Science with minor in Rhetoric and Argumentation. After school and a stint in the military, he returned to Harrisonburg and began working with Scripture Communities as an Apprentice and a Special Projects Coordinator.He is currently the Project Manager of Heritage Estates and Liberty Square. Amar enjoys his job and the people he has had the opportunity to meet through his work.
Blackwell Engineering
Founded in 1988, Blackwell Engineering was formed out of dedication to providing quality engineering and personal service to its clients. The firm has concentrated on land planning, site design, drainage and erosion control design, subdivisions, water and sewerage facilities, and alternative septic systems. Since 1993, Blackwell Engineering has expanded its services, employing computerized design and plotting techniques.Blackwell Engineering has grown with each passing year, adding many new clients while maintaining existing clients. Mr. Oxman’s experience as an architect is diverse, including design for new construction of luxury single family homes, town homes, apartments, religious buildings, commercial facilities, office buildings, recreational facilities, special interiors and numerous renovation and rehabilitation projects.The firm has designed projects throughout the Washington metropolitan area and the United States from Maine to the U.S. Virgin Islands. In addition, the firm has done master planning of mixed-use projects. The firm fully implements computer-aided design, providing computerized drafting services, 3D modeling, cost estimating and value engineering.
